Eric R. Bartlam is a patent attorney focusing his expertise on patent preparation and prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and prosecution strategy for international patent filings. He prepares opinions on issues related to infringement, validity, patentability, and other IP issues, as well as licensing, and other legal agreements. Eric has experience in patent litigation and dispute resolution, and he provides counsel to our clients on various intellectual property issues. Eric’s patent practice is directed toward mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies including medical devices, agricultural equipment, high security access devices, outdoor power equipment, industrial machinery, electronic/software controls, and vehicle accessories.

Eric also prepares and prosecutes federal trademark registration applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He advises our clients on their trademark rights under both common law and federal law. His trademark practice includes filing and responding to oppositions to pending trademark applications as well as defending registered trademarks in cancellation proceedings.
